Taking the first steps of Avrupa Cerrahi in Istanbul Güneşli in 2011, Yasir Gozu, MD developed a patient-centred, technology-driven clinical approach to proctology that puts comfort first. What began in Güneşli continued through the Bakırköy and Kadıköy years and lives on today at Avrupa Cerrahi in Beşiktaş Levent. The clinic’s core approach is to offer more comfortable treatment options — laser, radiofrequency and minimally invasive methods — as an alternative to conventional surgery in suitable cases.

Laser and Non-Surgical Treatments — Sharing Clinical Experience with Visiting Surgeons

Between 2014 and 2016, Yasir Gozu, MD shared clinical experience with surgeons visiting from different countries, taking part in observer training programmes on laser hemorrhoid treatment, radiofrequency ablation, pilonidal sinus management and non-surgical proctology approaches.

General Surgery Specialist — Haseki TRH, Istanbul

During his four years at Haseki Training and Research Hospital, he advanced his professional experience through high patient volume, wide case variety and intensive surgical practice. Alongside general surgery cases, he deepened his approach to proctological conditions such as hemorrhoids, anal fissure, anal fistula and pilonidal sinus.

Endoscopy Certificate

He holds certified competence in endoscopic examination used to evaluate upper gastrointestinal system diseases. Assessments of the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum form an important part of the diagnostic approach within general surgery practice.

Colonoscopy Certificate

He holds certified experience in colonoscopy, used to evaluate diseases of the colon and rectum. This competence forms a significant part of clinical practice in diagnosing rectal and large bowel diseases, detecting polyps and early evaluation processes.

Title of General Surgery Specialist

Completing his specialisation training and the required assessments, he officially received the title of General Surgery Specialist on 2 October 2006. From then on he focused his surgical practice on both general surgery and proctology.

Eskişehir Sivrihisar — Compulsory Service

Completing his compulsory service in Sivrihisar, Eskişehir, Yasir Gozu, MD had the opportunity to see the real needs of medicine in the field. Working with patients of all age groups, this period strengthened his approach to a broad patient profile.

112 Emergency Service

During his time with the 112 Emergency Service he gained significant field experience in rapid decision-making, crisis management and responding to time-critical clinical situations.

Afyon State Hospital

During his time at Afyon State Hospital he developed his practical experience in general surgery within a public hospital setting. Working with diverse case groups contributed to his specialist approach in later years.

Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine

He completed his medical education at Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine. Over six years of basic medical sciences, clinical rotations and patient evaluation practice, he built the academic and clinical foundation of his profession.

Giresun Atatürk Primary School

He completed the first step of his education at Giresun Atatürk Primary School — the starting point of his academic journey.

Kırklareli Atatürk Middle School

He continued his middle school education in Kırklareli, consolidating his academic development in this period.

Kırklareli Atatürk High School

He completed high school at Kırklareli Atatürk High School, graduating in 1990 — an important stage of the academic path leading to medical school.

With the growing number of patients from abroad, multilingual patient communication has become an important service at Avrupa Cerrahi. Communication support in Turkish, English and other languages makes examination, treatment and follow-up clearer for international patients.
